ACCLIMATE
At the location of the job site take the tile out of the carton and spread them around the floor so that they will be the same temperature as the floor. Wait 48 hours before installation.

INSTALLATION
1. Find the center point of the room, lay one row of tile, working from the front to the back of the room. Use a plastic or rubber mallet. Gently tap the tabs in place.
2. Next, lay a row of tile in the opposite direction creating a +. You should have a cross with four open areas. Look at the edges to be sure there is equal distance from both sides of the wall to the last full tile. It will not be exact, as there are no straight walls. Now fill in the four squares starting in the center working to the wall.
3. Note: If you are using a Full Spread method, the only difference is when you fill in the four open areas you will spread the adhesive as you go. Follow the adhesive manufactures recommendations for trowels, thickness and time.

CUTTING THE EDGE TILE
Measure from the edge (inside the tab with exposed tabs) of the last full tile installed to the wall, then back off a 4 inch for expansion. Now measure from the outside edge (from the inside edge of the tab with exposed tabs) Using a straight edge, draw a line from the top of the tile to the bottom. Using a sharp blade utility knife score the tile a couple of times, fold the tile at the cut line then draw your knife down from top to bottom. Watch those fingers and keep your blade sharp to make your job easier. After you are finished reinstall your moldings. Do not push down to hard or you will defeat the purpose of the gap you just left.

CHOOSE A TRIM
You may need a profile (reducer edge) for our tile to carpet or to ceramic tile or to floor tile. Leather, Slate and LVT have rounded edges and do not normally need a trim piece. If you need a reducer strip you can use our rolled edging that we will cut to size. For hidden lock tiles or interlocking edges for standard interlocking tile. Most flooring retailers sell profiles, use the ones made for ceramic tile. Our tile is around 1/4" thick as is most ceramic tile.

DOORS
Interior doors often have space at the bottom to accommodate new flooring. If yours do, then you're good to go. If yours don't, or they're cut for something lower than the floor you're installing, you may need to trim the bottom of the door molding. Lay a tile up next to the door frame, mark it with a pencil, then trim door just above the pencil mark.

CLEAN UP
To clean the floor after installation, use a solution of 1⁄2 cup white vinegar in a gallon of water and damp mop. If you would like to add protection, you can use a commercial vinyl tile sealer. Call us about our 341 Commercial Resilient Sealer. This is recommended in a commercial building. If it is a residential install, we recommend two coats of Armstrong Shine Keeper or Rejuvenate. Both are applied with a mop and dry quickly. We recommend an application every year, it will not build up, but will make the floor look great and easier to keep clean.

AFTER THE INSTALL: FULL SPREAD
• Try to stay off new vinyl floor for 24 hours. If you must walk on the floor, avoid the seams.
To allow the adhesives to setup properly, keep the room at 68° F or greater for at least 2 days.
Ventilate the area well for 48 to 72 hours.
Light foot traffic is allowed after 24 hours.
Don't wet mop your floor for about five days. The adhesives need time to cure.
Most of all follow the instructions on the adhesive label.

AFTER THE INSTALL: FLOATING METHOD
• Foot traffic is fine immediately following installation.
FURNITURE AND APPLIANCE PLACEMENT
Don't rely on furniture or appliance wheels and do not drag appliances over your new floor!
Lay down a piece of thin plywood and move the appliance over the floor on the wood, or use furniture sliders made specifically for this purpose.

NOTES
Although our products are colorfast, avoid exposure to direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Exposure may result in discoloration. During peak sunlight hours, the use of the drapes or blinds is recommended
Perfection Floor Tile is water/moisture resistant, however, excessive moisture in the subfloor could promote mold, mildew, and other moisture related issues like the trapping of moisture emissions under the flooring, which may contribute to an unhealthy indoor environment.
Perfection Floor Tile does not warrant nor is responsible for damage to floor covering due to moisture related issues.
You may test for excessive moisture by duct taping a 12" x 12" clear plastic square to the floor before installation. After 48 hours, check the plastic. A light foggy appearance is normal; droplets of water or dense foggy plastic is excessive.
We also recommend keeping some leftover pieces of vinyl for future repairs "just in case."

STOP
PLEASE READ CAUTIONS
1. In rare instances some rubber products may stain the tile's surface. Test by placing a single tile under rubber tires, chair bottoms, coasters etc. for 48 hours prior to installation.
2. Check all cartons to ensure they are the same batch code. Color variations may occur between batches due to tiles being made from recycled materials.
3. Most chemicals will not stain. Pet urine may cause tile to yellow. Remove chemical spills as soon as possible. Petroleum product may cause tile to deteriorate if left unattended.
4. To insure easy installation, remove the tiles from the cartons and spread them out on the floor where they can acclimate to room temperature 24 hours prior to installation.
5. Tile will need to slide across subfloor as it expands, if laying tile on a rough surfaces like plywood or rough concrete an underlayment of .03 mm (or thicker) plastic will allow the tile to slide as it expands. 6. Be sure to leave a 1/4" expansion gap around all edges in wall-to-wall installations.
7. Most non-slip vinyl wax or sealer will add to the ease of cleaning. Perfection Floor Tile recommends Armstrong Shine Keeper. Always test waxes or sealer before applying.
8. Warranty does not cover dirt or staining of white or lighter colored tiles used in garages, areas exposed to dyes, petroleum products, or similar applications. Perfection Urethane Flexi-Coating maybe used over white and lighter colors to prevent soiling and staining.
9. Never use bleach to clean tiles. Bleach will discolor tile. For sterilizing, use 1⁄4 cup of bleach in a gallon of water.
10. This tile is for Interior Use Only.

PROPER CARE & MAINTENANCE
Perfection Floor Tile wants you to enjoy your purchase for many years. Dirt, grit, and sand can cause problems with your floor as they act as an abrasive, much like sandpaper. Using a dry untreated dust mop frequently will prevent premature wear and scratches to you floor. A micro- fiber, terry cloth dust mop is recommended. A vacuum cleaner can be used on tile. However, we recommend that you check to make sure the brushes are in good condition. Never use a beater bar or metal carpet attachments on Vinyl, Wood or Natural Stone finish tiles.
Walk off mats or area rugs on either side of the exterior entrance will help collect loose dirt before it reaches your floor. The back side of the mat should have a non-slip surface. Keep the mats clean by shaking off any excess dirt or vacuum them regularly. Protective felt pads under chair and furniture legs are recommended to further protect the floor. Move heavy appliances and furniture by using a dolly rolled over plywood or pressed board.
When time for damp mopping, use 1⁄4 cup of white vinegar in a gallon of water. This will keep your floor clean and maintain the original beauty. We do not recommend detergents, abrasive cleaners, or "mop and shine" products, as they may leave a dull film on your floor.
Avoid using citrus cleaners, or other produces containing abrasives, acids, grout cleaners or bleach. These may dull the surface of your floor. Additionally, never combine bleach and ammonia as this causes a toxic and sometimes lethal gas. Gum or candle wax may be removed by letting it harden, then try to scrape up with your fingers, if this does not work, gently scrape with a plastic scraper.
Any spills should be blotted up immediately, especially pet urine. Some pet urine may discolor the tile. If you think any of the liquid seeped under the tile, lift up the edge and clean under it. Just tap it back into place after clean up.
You can use a protective sealer on any of our tiles. We recommend applying two coats immediately after installation. This will seal your vinyl floor and make them easier to clean. If you decide to apply a sealer at a later date, clean your floors first with the white vinegar and water solution. Rinse and dry the floor well. Apply two thin coats of Armstrong Shine Keeper or Rejuvenate floor finish. This will give your floors a gloss or satin shine that will last for years and will not damage or yellow your floor over time. These coatings do not build up and can be applied every 6 months to maintain a beautiful, long lasting shine on your new floor.
