Top Selling Coretec Cairo Oak VS Calypso Oak

Coretec Cairo Oak and Calypso Oak are both popular choices, and you really can't go wrong with either one, but they have different strengths. Cairo Oak, with its SPC (stone plastic composite) core, offers superior rigidity and durability, making it ideal for high-traffic areas. Calypso Oak, with its WPC (wood plastic composite) core, is known for being warmer, quieter underfoot, and could be more forgiving on uneven subfloors. Both are 100% waterproof, pet-friendly, and easy to install and maintain.

Coretec Cairo Oak:

Pros:
Durability: SPC core makes it very rigid and resistant to wear and tear, can be better for high-traffic areas.
Waterproof: 100% waterproof, preventing damage from spills and moisture.
Pet and Kid Friendly: Both are suitable for homes with pets and children.
Stability: SPC core is less susceptible to expansion and contraction due to temperature changes.
Larger Planks: Larger planks can be quicker to install and show less seams and pattern repeat.
Easy Installation: Clicks into place and doesn't require glue.
Matte Finish: Offers a more rustic, textured look.

Cons:
Appearance: Some find the rustic look and variation in tones less appealing.
Can be Noisier: Being more rigid, it might be slightly louder underfoot compared to WPC (Calypso Oak).
Potentially Less Comfortable: The hardness of the SPC core might be less comfortable for some compared to the softer feel of WPC.

Coretec Calypso Oak:

Pros:
Warm and Quiet: WPC core provides a warmer, quieter, and more comfortable underfoot experience.
Waterproof: 100% waterproof, like Cairo Oak.
Pet and Kid Friendly: Both are suitable for homes with pets and children.
Light and Bright: Calypso Oak offers a lighter, more modern appearance.
Easy Installation: Clicks into place and doesn't require glue.
Easier to Clean: Some find the lighter color and smooth surface easier to keep clean and smudge-free.

Cons:
Less Rigid: WPC core is more flexible, which might make it more susceptible to damage from heavy furniture or impact.
Smaller Plank Size: Smaller planks size show more seems and pattern repeat.
Can be more susceptible to temperature changes: Not recommended for 3-season rooms.
