GENERAL

Installation Guide Download
The room temperature when installing the floor must be between 64°F - 85°F, and the Relative Humidity in the premises is recommended to be between 25% - 70%. The flooring material must be acclimated in the room for at least 48 hours before installation. The room temperature must be maintained 48 hours before and continuously during and after installation.
If underfloor heating is installed, Kährs LT Click Arcadia may be
exposed to max 82°F and the subfloor must be flat and stable.
SUBFLOOR REQUIREMENTS
Kährs Luxury Tiles Click Arcadia can be installed on most substrates, which must be clean, sufficiently dry and firm, free of yield or movement, free of cracks and flat within 1/8″ over 6′.
For a concrete substrate, the max. RH is 85% in-situ during installation, measured in accordance with the current industry
standard. Any dust or loose particles must be carefully removed.
Any stains or spills from paint, oil or similar must be removed.
Any unevenness in concrete floors must be levelled. Levelling compound/filler must be sufficiently firm for the area of
application in the premises.
In the case of installation on the substrate covered with ceramic
tiles, fill the tile joints with the gap wider than 3/16” and deeper than 1/16” with a compound for the filling or a resin grout.
A 6-mil poly film moisture barrier is strongly recommended over concrete subfloors. Failure to use a moisture barrier could affect the integrity of the SPC and installation.
Do not install over carpet, hardwood floors installed directly over concrete or any existing floating floors.

PREPARATION
Kährs Luxury Tiles are suitable for any indoor locations with controlled climate on all grade levels.
Never lean the boxes against the wall when brought to the area for acclimation.
Before starting the installation, make sure you read through the instructions.
IMPORTANT: Check all panels before and during installation for damage or visible defects.
Calculate surface area: Width x Length + 5~10% cutting waste 

Install the flooring along the longest wall or in the direction of the light for the most pleasing visual appeal.
Expansion gap and maximum installation area is:
Kährs LT Click Arcadia and Ranch & Hacienda Collections
Max area 2500 ft2, max length or width is 50 ft. Expansion gap
3/8”.
The width of the tile on the last row must be no less than 2
inches. If so, adjust the width of the first row. Install the floor as floating, without adhesive.
When fitting under doorjambs, please keep the 3/8” expansion gap. Allow an expansion gap around the whole outer border, i.e. also for pipes, stairs, pillars, door frames and thresholds.
In rooms with quadratic areas (L, F, T, U shapes), we recommend to separate the areas using an expansion joint, especially by door openings.
If you have any questions, please contact your dealer for further
information. You can use the floor immediately after installation.
The baseboards must be secured to the wall, never to the floor.

MISCELLANEOUS
Color matching between individual tiles can only be guaranteed for tiles with the same production number (see production number on each pack). Always check that all packs have the
same production number before installation. Shuffle panels
from different boxes to ensure an even distribution of color and pattern. Working out of a minimum of two cartons at a time is recommended.
Even though all material is inspected carefully before delivery, faults can occur. Any deviations (damaged or incorrect floor tiles) must be reported immediately to Kährs and must not be
installed but set aside before or during installation. If you are in any doubt before installation, always consult us. Any returns must always be approved by Kährs, so contact us to make sure
they are processed correctly.
In conservatories, verandas and winter garden behind large windows or where there is significant light exposure the floor  temperature can reach 90°F or more, it is not recommended to install these floors.

Always use pads on furniture to protect the floor against surface damage, scratches, etc. If construction activity is to continue, place protective covering
on newly installed floors. Do not tape the protective cover directly to the floor. The adhesive on the tape can have a
negative effect on the floor and some types of adhesive are very difficult to remove.
Office chairs that are to be used on Kährs Luxury Tiles Click Arcadia must be fitted with soft type W castors in accordance with DIN 68131. For higher protection, desk mat can be placed
under castor chairs and rolling furniture.
In case you want to replace a damaged plank, cut inside the plank with a cutter and remove the damaged plank. Remove
the tongue and grove in each corner of the empty space.Use a hot air blower to make it more flexible, before you install a new plank.Insert first the long side and press it under the groove on the short side.When placed and clicked, just press the tongue in the groove on the other side.

INSTALLATION METHOD A: ANGLE
Start on the short side. Position the panel at an angle of 20-30°
to the panel that is already installed, and angle down.
Place your hands close to the joint and move the panel up to an angle of 20-30°. Pull the panel towards the installed panels and angle down.
INSTALLATION METHOD B: TAP
For hard to reach panels, use the tapping method. If possible, angle in one of the sides. Angle down and position the click systems as close as possible.
Use a tapping block and position it against the locking system.
Gently tap the block with a hammer to gradually connect the panels in a few taps. use the pull bar instead for the panels against the wall.

Plan the floor along the longest wall or
light direction for the most pleasing visual
appeal.Check all panels before and during
installation for damage or visible defects.
The short ends of tiles in adjacent rows
must be staggered by a minimum of 12
inches. Stagger the panels randomly to
avoid a staircase pattern and ensure a
strong click connection.
1. Start the first row from the left corner
and at a little distance from the wall, with
a tongue pointing to the wall. The first
panel will serve as a base to install panels two and three.

2. Place the tongue of the long side of
panel 2 into the groove of the long side of panel 1 at 20-30° and angle down.
3. Angle in the short side of panel 3 into
the short side of panel 2 at 20-30° and
angle down.
4. Place your hands close to the joint and
slide panel 3 towards panel 1. Angle the
row of panel 2 and 3 up to an angle of 20- 30°. Angle down to completely connect the panels.

5. After installing a panel, check if all joints are fully connected and there are no gaps or height differences. Tap with the tapping block to completely close the joints.
After the floor and expansion profiles are
completely installed, remove all spacers
from the room(s). Install baseboards
or quarter round molding on the walls
over the expansion gaps to complete the
room.
Always maintain a 3/8” expansion gap
from the plank to all vertical fixations in
the room: wall, columns, pipes, etc.
Provide expansion joints between
different rooms or in large rooms.
6. Continue installing the rest of the
panels for the first three rows in the
order of the drawing.
Due to the nature of the LVT floating
floor, please always leave a 3/8”
expansion gap from the planks to the wall or any fixation.
When fitting under doorjambs, please
keep in mind the 3/8” expansion gap to
allow the floor to float freely. Please avoid cutting the plank along the doorjambs, we recommend you fit it under, so undercut the door jamb and insert the planks.
7. Move the rows closer to the wall,
leaving a distance equal to the width of
the start row plus the expansion gaps.
If the wall is crooked, measure and trim
the planks for the first row as needed.
Install the start row by angling in the
panels. Use the pull bar and hammer if
necessary. Place the spacers to ensure
the correct expansion gap.
Continue installing the rest of the panels
row by row in the order of the drawing.

When the connected area’s width and
length are within 50 feet, the Kährs
Luxury Tiles can be laid in one piece. If
the measurement exceeds 50’ please
install suitable dilatation joints to divide
the jobsite into smaller installation areas;
make sure the width and length of each
area is within 50’. Always leave 3/8”
expansion gaps from the planks to the
dilatation joints.

 Limited Warranty
Subject to the terms of this Limited Warranty (this “Warranty”), Kährs International, Inc (“Kährs” or
“we”) provides to the original end-user purchaser (the “Purchaser” or “you”) of the 5mm Ranch &
Hacienda and 7mm Arcadia collections of LVP flooring, for the applicable Warranty Period as defined
in the chart below: the Visual Appearance Warranty and Wear-Through Warranty.

This Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original Purchaser and the original
installation location. The Residential Warranty term applies solely to residential indoor use for
personal household purposes. The Commercial Warranty term applies only when the Flooring is used
for approved light-commercial purposes and installed in applications approved by Kährs in
accordance with all applicable installation instructions.
 Visual Appearance Warranty
Subject to the terms of this Warranty, Kährs warrants to you that, for the Warranty Period, each plank
of Kährs LVP Flooring and moldings will be free from visual defects in material and workmanship (the
“Visual Appearance Warranty”).
If a visually defective plank or molding is identified prior to installation, Kährs will, as its sole
responsibility, and the Purchaser’s sole remedy, replace the affected Flooring at no charge.
Installation of any Flooring plank or molding constitutes full acceptance of its visible appearance,
color, finish, dimensions, and condition by the installer and the Purchaser, even if the Purchaser is
absent at the time of installation.

 Wear Through Warranty
Subject to the terms of this Warranty, Kährs warrants to the Purchaser that, during the Warranty
Period, the wear layer, which is the factory surface treatment and the entire wear layer covering the
decor layer, will not wear through and expose the underlying décor layer of the Flooring, subject to
the next paragraph (the “Wear-Through Warranty”).
This Wear-Through Warranty applies only to qualifying areas affecting at least ten percent (10%) of
the total installed surface area of the Flooring. Cosmetic surface wear, scratches, gloss reduction,
dents, impressions, or other minor surface imperfections that do not expose the underlying structural
core components shall not constitute wear-through under this Wear-Through Warranty.
If a breach of the Wear-Through Warranty occurs during the Warranty Period, Kährs will, at its sole
option, and as its sole responsibility and the Purchaser’s sole remedy provide replacement Flooring
materials at no charge for the repair or replace the affected Flooring; no costs for labor will be covered
and no labor allowance will be provided to the Purchaser for the removal, repair, or replacement.
Limitations of Warranty
THERE ARE NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES ON THE FLOORING OTHER THAN THE WARRANTIES EXPRESSLY
STATED IN THIS WARRANTY. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES FOR
MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF
THIS EXPRESS WARRANTY.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation
may not apply to you.
No retailer, installer, dealer, distributor, agent or employee has any authority to increase the scope or
alter the terms or coverage of this Warranty.
Any repair or replacement performed under this Warranty shall not renew, extend, or otherwise
modify any applicable Warranty Period stated herein. In the event the original Flooring product is
unavailable, Kährs reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to provide a comparable product in
substitution thereof.
Exclusions
1. Costs Not Covered:
Unless otherwise specified in this Warranty, in the event Kährs repairs or replaces Flooring under this
Warranty, or for any other reason, Kährs shall not be responsible for costs relating to or associated
with:
A. Job site preparation or removal of existing Flooring;
B. Removal, reinstallation, or replacement of surrounding flooring materials;
C. Replacement or repair of subfloor materials, underlayments, moisture barriers, moldings, trims,
transitions, fasteners, supplies, or other materials consumed, damaged, or required in connection
with the removal or replacement process; or
D. Furniture movement, temporary housing, or removal, disconnection, reconnection, replacement,
or reinstallation of appliances, cabinetry or countertops, plumbing, electrical work, or other fixtures.

Failures and Variations Not Covered
A. Improper Installation. Performance of the Flooring is highly dependent upon proper installation
methods, site conditions, and subfloor preparation. Installation must be performed in strict
accordance with the Kährs Installation Guides, found on www.kahrs.com, applicable industry
standards, and local building codes.
Failure to install the Flooring in strict accordance with such instructions and standards shall exclude
coverage under this Warranty for any resulting condition, damage, or failure.
In no event shall Kährs be liable for any installer error, lack of skill, negligence, misuse of tools or
materials, poor workmanship, failure to inspect Flooring prior to installation, or other acts or
omissions of the installer, contractor, builder, or homeowner.
Installation of cabinets, islands, or other permanently fixed structures over floating Flooring systems
is not recommended, as such installations may restrict the Flooring’s natural expansion and
contraction. Any resulting buckling, gapping, joint failure, noise, separation, movement-related
condition, or other damage associated with restricted floor movement shall be excluded from
coverage under this Warranty. However, installation of permanently fixed structures over a floating
floor system shall not, by itself, void otherwise applicable warranty coverage for unrelated
manufacturing defects covered under this Warranty.
For installations over radiant heat, refer to “Subfloor Prep and Radiant Heat Guide’ document, found
on www.kahrs.com.
B. Improper Maintenance and Inadequate Care. Maintenance must be performed in accordance with
the Kährs Floor Care Guide found on www.kahrs.com. Maintenance that is not performed in
accordance with the Kährs Floor Care Guide, including but not limited to use of wet mops, excessive
water, steam cleaners, abrasive cleaning methods, or improper cleaning products, may damage the
Flooring and any resulting condition, damage, or failure shall be excluded from coverage under this
Warranty.
C. Abnormal Environmental Conditions. Kährs Flooring is warranted under this Warranty only when
used under normal conditions. The indoor environment must be maintained within a Relative
Humidity range of 30% to 60% and a Temperature range of 55°F to 85°F.
Exposure to environmental conditions outside the recommended tolerances, including but not limited
to excessively high or low relative humidity, excessive dryness, excessive heat, rapid environmental
fluctuations, lack of climate control, condensation, or excess moisture may directly or indirectly cause
damage to the flooring and regardless of cause or source, such damage is not covered by this
Warranty.
D. Misuse, Abuse, Accident, or Use Inconsistent with Kährs Guidance. This Warranty does not cover
damage or failure caused directly or indirectly by misuse, abuse, neglect, accident or use inconsistent
with our Kährs Installation Guides or Kährs Floor Care Guide, found on www.kahrs.com, including,
without limitation, staining, scratching, scuffing, gouging, denting, chipping, impact damage, damage
caused by heavy objects or concentrated loads, furniture movement, pet damage, burns, extreme
heat, or other physical abuse.
This Warranty further does not cover any damage arising from moisture or water exposure, including
but not limited to excessive liquid application during cleaning, leaks, broken or leaking pipes,
appliance failures, plumbing issues, flooding, standing water, groundwater intrusion, high humidity,
condensation, or any other source of moisture.

E. Alterations / Repairs. This Warranty does not cover any damage, defect, or failure caused directly or
indirectly by alterations, repairs, modifications, or unauthorized work performed to any Kährs
Flooring after delivery or installation.
F. Non-Designated Products. The Purchaser shall not be entitled to any remedy under this Warranty
for any defect, damage, or failure caused directly or indirectly by the use, application, or installation
of any product on or in connection with the Flooring that was not supplied, approved, or expressly
designated by Kährs.
G. External Events / Force Majeure. This Warranty does not cover damage resulting from fire, smoke,
storms, hurricanes, flooding, earthquakes, infestation, vandalism, construction defects, slab
movement or failure, structural movement, or other external causes beyond the control of Kährs.
H. Moldings are covered by the “Visual Appearance Warranty” only for the applicable Warranty Period,
which is limited to any manufacturing defect found upon receipt and/or prior to installation, but no
later than sixty (60) days after delivery. There is no coverage for moldings under the Wear-Through
Warranty.
J. Color Changes and Variations. Exposure of all or any portion of the installed Flooring to direct
sunlight, UV light, intense artificial light, excessive heat, or other environmental conditions may cause
fading, discoloration, yellowing, gloss variation, expansion, contraction, gapping, peaking, or other
changes in color, appearance, or dimensions over time. Such conditions are not manufacturing
defects and are not covered under this Warranty.
Liability Limitations
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, WHETHER FOR BREACH OF WARRANTY, BREACH OF CONTRACT,
NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHER LEGAL THEORY, SHALL KÄHRS BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL,
SPECIAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND.
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Kährs specifically disclaims any liability for property
damages, penalties, loss of use, business interruption, downtime, relocation, cost of capital, cost of
substitute products, or for any other types of economic loss.
The total liability of Kährs and the authorized dealer with respect to the Flooring and services provided
to the Purchaser under this Warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price paid by the
Purchaser for the Flooring.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental, special, indirect or consequential
damages; so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights,
and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Making Warranty Claims
To initiate a warranty claim, the Purchaser must notify the authorized dealer in writing, provide
proof of purchase to the authorized dealer, provide photographs and a written description of the
claimed defect, permit reasonable access for inspection by Kährs or its authorized representative of
the Flooring and jobsite conditions, and take reasonable steps to prevent further damage after the
condition becomes known.
Claims of a breach of the Visual Appearance Warranty must be reported prior to installation and no
later than sixty (60) days after delivery. Installation of any visually defective material shall constitute
acceptance of its condition.
All other claims of defects must be submitted within six (6) months after the date the defect first
became known or reasonably should have been discovered. Flooring must not be removed, altered,
repaired, or replaced prior to inspection by Kährs or its authorized representative unless emergency
mitigation is reasonably necessary to prevent further damage.

RESIDENTIAL RESILIENT MAINTENANCE

To maintain the optimum condition,
please always avoid lasting direct
exposure to the sunlight and the indoor
temperature should be kept under 90o F.
After correct installation, proper cleaning
and care are essential.
Please follow the below maintenance and
cleaning instruction:
1. The rigid LVT floor is suitable for
indoor usage only
2. Do not install in sunroom or
conservatory
3. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct
sunlight
4. Keep you room temperature
constant, and under 90o F
5. Please don't use wax or urethane
coating
6. Spots, marks and spillages should be
wiped up as soon as possible to avoid
staining
7. Clean only with water or mild
detergent or residential floor cleaner
8. After cleaning, rinse thoroughly and
soak up residual water
9. Never use acetone or chlorinated
solvents for cleaning
10. Do not steam clean the floor
11. Remove dust, sand and grit particles
